Meeting Minutes between Henan Agricultural University and ISARA

On November 27, 2025, a video working conference was held between Henan Agricultural University, ISARA (Institut Supérieur d'Agriculture et d'Agroalimentaire Rhône-Alpes, France), and the International Academy of Food and Phytomedicine (IAFPH). The parties conducted in-depth discussions on topics including the 2026 summer study abroad program, joint training for dual-degree Master's programs, and the establishment of a normalized mutual visit mechanism, reaching several practical cooperation consensuses.

I. Establishing a New Chapter of Intercollegiate Cooperation via the Summer Camp Program

Both parties agreed to use the 2026 summer study abroad program as the starting point for their formal partnership. The program will target third-year undergraduate students (and above) or first-year Master's students in food science, agronomy, and agriculture-related fields. Plans are in place to welcome the first batch of 5 to 10 outstanding students from Henan Agricultural University to France in the summer of 2026 for a two-week exchange. The program will include professional courses taught in English, French cultural experiences, and specialized field trips to local characteristic agricultural enterprises, such as chocolate and cheese factories.

II. Focusing on Academic Return Visits to Deepen Local Industry-University-Research Cooperation

To further implement the cooperation intentions, ISARA proposed to send an expert delegation to visit Zhengzhou in mid-April 2026. The French delegation will conduct on-site inspections of Henan Agricultural University's discipline settings and industry-university-research bases to gain a deep understanding of the university's characteristics and local leading agricultural enterprises, exploring the potential for cooperation in scientific research achievement transformation. Both parties will seize this opportunity to conduct face-to-face consultations on the details of "Undergraduate-to-Master" bridging programs and improve the normalized mutual visit mechanism.

The delegation from Henan Agricultural University included Vice President Zhang Xiao, Tu Ke (Dean of the College of International Education), Liu Hong'en (Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department), Li Lianzhen (Head of the Department of Chinese Medicinal Materials at the College of Agronomy), and Li Ning (Deputy Head of the Department of Food Nutrition and Health).

The ISARA delegation included Christophe David (Vice President), David Soussan (Director of International Relations), and Professor Sami Ghnimi (Head of the MSc in Sustainable Food Systems).
