Lianzhen Li Professor Lianzhen Li is an internationally recognized expert in Chinese medicinal resources, a senior medical scientist, and an innovator in higher education.
 
As a leading figure with profound influence in the development and utilization of Chinese medicinal resources, the standardized cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials, and the digital education of traditional Chinese medicine, she currently serves as a member of the Chinese Materia Medica and Natural Medicine Professional Committee of the Henan Pharmaceutical Association and as a council member of the Information and Big Data Branch of the Chinese Ethnic Medicine Association. Professor Li has long been committed to the cultivation of elite talent in traditional Chinese medicine and the reform of teaching paradigms. As a pioneer in the digital transformation of traditional Chinese medicine education, she has led the Henan Provincial First-Class Online Undergraduate Course and online open course Fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine. By constructing a modern digital education ecosystem, she has made pioneering contributions to the modernization and dissemination of traditional medicine. As a leading expert in the translational development of prescriptions and the medicinal plant industry, Professor Li’s research is deeply rooted in two core areas: the development and utilization of Chinese medicinal resources, and the standardized cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials. Her academic and social contributions are of outstanding strategic value. Appointed by the government, she serves as Head of the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Commissioner Service Team for the Chinese Medicinal Materials Industry from 2022 to 2027, where she has long been responsible for core technical guidance, the formulation of ecological cultivation standards, and cross-regional science-and-technology-based poverty alleviation for the province’s Chinese medicinal materials industry. Professor Li has successfully transformed cutting-edge research achievements in medicinal botany into a powerful driver of regional economic development, making distinguished contributions of both scientific and social value to the protection of geo-authentic Chinese medicinal materials, standardized cultivation under Good Agricultural Practice, and green ecological agricultural policy.
 
With decades of dedication to teaching and research, Professor Li has achieved remarkable accomplishments in academic publishing, educational model innovation, and industrial policy research. In the field of educational science research, she has led a major project under the 13th Five-Year Plan for Educational Science of Henan Province, prospectively exploring and constructing a new model of innovation and entrepreneurship education for Chinese materia medica programs in modern higher education institutions. As a highly accomplished scholar, she has been invited over the years by authoritative national academic publishers, including China Press of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to serve as editor-in-chief or associate editor of six influential academic books and planned textbooks, including Classical Chinese Patent Medicines and Introduction to the Safe and Rational Application of Chinese Materia Medica, continuously guiding academic trends in the development and utilization of Chinese medicinal resources and the rational clinical use of Chinese medicines.
