Recently, the International Academy of Food and Phytomedicine Homology (IAFPH) and Université Nangui Abrogoua (UNA) of Côte d'Ivoire held an online signing ceremony to officially execute a strategic cooperation agreement. During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on key agendas, including the joint development of a laboratory, the construction of an African university cooperation network, collaboration in the veterinary medicine industry, and the provision of medical diagnosis and treatment services in China. Built upon the outcomes of UNA’s visit to China this past May, this meeting marks a continuous effort to deepen and solidify pragmatic, multi-field cooperation between the two institutions.
Professor Veronique Yoboue, President of UNA, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, accompanied by Vice President Karamoko Yahaya and Dr. OUSSOU N'Guessan J-B from the International Cooperation Department. Representing IAFPH, Shixing Feng (Executive Vice Dean), Zhiming Yang (Secretary-General), alongside Jia Li and Tianyi Wang from the Secretariat, attended the meeting.

Professor Veronique Yoboue, President of the University, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, both parties will jointly promote the implementation and extension of IAFPH-related projects across African universities. IAFPH and UNA aim to further expand the African cooperation network, encouraging more universities and research institutions to participate in international collaboration. The agreement specifies the establishment of a joint laboratory plaque at UNA, which will simultaneously advance laboratory construction, research facility upgrades, and talent exchange, thereby laying a solid foundation for joint scientific research and talent cultivation.

Regarding industrial cooperation, both parties will join hands with the Inter-State School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine (EISMV) in Senegal to explore the establishment of a veterinary industry cooperation mechanism in West Africa. Leveraging their respective resource advantages in education, research, and industry, they aim to advance international exchange and collaboration in agriculture, animal husbandry, and veterinary medicine. This initiative will promote joint projects to universities across Africa, further building an exchange and cooperation platform connecting China-Africa higher education, research institutions, and industrial sectors, while accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements, international talent exchange, and resource sharing.
The implementation of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a significant milestone in IAFPH's international layout, deeply cultivating the fields of African food, medicinal plants, animal husbandry, and veterinary medicine. It also constructs a brand-new bridge for the synergistic development of China-Africa universities, research institutions, and industrial entities. Moving forward, both parties will implement each cooperative initiative step by step, continuously pushing forward China-France-Africa tripartite industrial cooperation, and contributing to the high-quality development of Africa's agro-pharmaceutical industry.
