Dr. Jialin Liu, MD, PhD, is a Chief Physician, Associate Professor, and PhD Supervisor. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Sun Simiao Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, as well as President of the Sun Simiao Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Liu has long been engaged in clinical practice and research on the integrated use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for cerebrovascular diseases, with particular interests in stroke, cerebrovascular stenosis, intracranial aneurysms, and comprehensive interventions for neurological disorders.
He holds several academic appointments, including Executive Council Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Specialty Committee of Encephalopathy of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and Vice President of both the Sun Simiao Research Branch and the Encephalopathy Branch of the Chinese Association for Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has led and participated in multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, and provincial and municipal agencies. He has published more than 40 academic papers in Chinese and international journals and has contributed to national undergraduate medical textbooks and professional guideline development.
His clinical expertise includes neurointerventional procedures combined with traditional Chinese medicine for cerebrovascular and neurological conditions, including intracranial and extracranial vascular stenosis, intracranial aneurysms, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, traumatic brain injury, and intracranial tumors.
Research Interests: Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for cerebrovascular diseases; neurointervention combined with traditional Chinese medicine; stroke prevention and treatment; comprehensive management of neurological disorders.
