Elhadji Adakal Hassane, DVM, PhD, is Director General of the Inter-State School of Veterinary Science and Medicine of Dakar (EISMV) and an Associate Professor accredited by CAMES. His work focuses on One Health, animal disease epidemiology, veterinary governance, and regional health systems. He previously served as Acting Executive Director of the ECOWAS Regional Animal Health Center and worked with the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Regional Representation for Africa. He has coordinated multiple international and regional research programmes, authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and has extensive experience in advancing animal health, public health, and cross-border One Health cooperation in West Africa.
