Jean-Paul Markus is a Professor of Public Law at Université Paris-Saclay (UVSQ), specializing in health law, public economic law, and public governance. He previously served as Director of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at Paris-Saclay and has long contributed to the revision, annotation, and commentary of the French Code de la santé publique. His international experience includes legal and policy expertise for UNESCO and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, as well as sustained academic cooperation and research activities with universities in Africa.
