Research Interests

1. Prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases and neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease) with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

2. Discovery of innovative Traditional Chinese Medicine candidates, research on mechanisms of action, and evaluation of efficacy.

Landmark Achievements

In recent years, Dr. Wu has successively completed research on the mechanism of the "weight-management and longevity" effects of Semen Cassiae and Fructus Cannabis, research on the quality evaluation and hypoglycemic mechanism of Forsythia suspensa, and research on the material basis and mechanism of the "fluid-promoting and intelligence-enhancing" effects of Ginseng. She has published more than 30 research papers in important domestic and international academic journals such as Journal of Experimental Biology, Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine, Pharmaceutical Biology, Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs, and Pharmacology and Clinics of Chinese Materia Medica. She has been authorized 4 invention patents. Has co-authored multiple books and textbooks.

Dr. Wu won 1 Third Prize of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 First Prizes and 1 Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements at the departmental level, and 1 Second Prize for Henan Provincial Excellent Natural Science Paper. She was presided over 1 project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 3 provincial/departmental-level projects, and participated in 5 major national-level projects. She also led university students to win multiple awards, including National Silver Awards in science and technology competitions such as "Internet+", "Challenge Cup", and "Chuang Qing Chun".
